Volunteers need to be able to do a minimum of 15- 30 hours a month, be able to attend meetings, if you can’t please allow us that information within 24 hours of meeting, unless of course there is an emergency.
Becoming a HOHSH volunteer comes with great rewards and responsibilities.
Volunteers represent Hearts of Hope Safe Haven and your actions reflect both on you and on HOHSH.

Assume roles in other organisations, having other personal commitments, or be in any situation that will give rise to conflict of interest during their period of voluntary role or duties.
Be punctual for your voluntary duties,
Lead by example and be good role models for the beneficiaries
Use plenty of encouragement and praise
Instil independence and self-confidence by providing guidance to the beneficiaries to complete the task by themselves, rather than always doing things for them
Give compliments or feedback to HOHSH staff on positive or adverse encounters during the duration of the voluntary duties
Report immediately to HOHSH staff when you hear of any information from the beneficiary that is of potential threat or harm to self and/or others.
